The Indigenous Community Basketball League is the first level of competition under the NIYBPA for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth aged 13 & 14.
Players competing in the ICBL will have an opportunity to be selected represent their region at the NIBT.
IBA has been established to overcome the many challenges and barriers Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people face in the current Australian basketball systems and structures, and create pathways and opportunities at the grassroots level so they have a better chance to advance and succeed at higher levels.
